I'll get all of these stories and more for you coming up next on The Rush. Well, let's start off with a cool story, uh, yesterday, uh, in Florida, you might have seen a spacecraft floating around. No, not Elon's. This is NASA, a NASA spacecraft blasted off to Jupiter moon. It's looking to, I guess, land on the Europa, which is Jupiter's icy moon.
And I guess it's there on a mission to see if it can support life. Here's the moment of takeoff. One, ignition, and liftoff! Liftoff of Falcon Heavy with Europa Clipper. Unveiling the mysteries of an enormous ocean lurking beneath the icy crust of Jupiter's moon, Europa. Engine temperatures are nominal.
Alright, well there it is. We'll find out what's under the crust, you know what I mean? You know, I've always wondered what if, what, what happens if one of these spaceships just lands on a moon somewhere and it's just got billions and billions of diamond rings. It does my wife's engagement ring. Is it no longer worth anything?
How does that work? Please someone let me know. Well, there seems to be a lot of movement in the space race happening and we have Bridget Mendler talks about revolutionizing outdated space tech, uh, with. private ties companies. She's a part of a startup called Northwood, and they're looking to build ground stations, which can talk to satellites and can be scaled fast in a matter of days.
All right, I'll have a listen. I think, you know, for space companies, you're running a business that is completely reliant upon connectivity, but connectivity with space is stuck in a different era where you anticipate outages or you find very expensive and cumbersome solutions for outages in a way that would be, Completely unacceptable in other industrialized sectors.
Um, we were actually talking to a space company yesterday that had their contact time, just slipped out from under them at the last minute. And so it's really hard to think of how to deliver a reliable business to your customers under those conditions. And so, uh, we're excited to really change the expectations for space companies where you have this always on reliable and frankly, dynamic satellite connectivity, um, that you would expect Listen, I'm all about space travel, uh, but can I just get 5G on my T Mobile?
Like, can we get that first? I don't know, just a thought. But either way, very interesting stuff here. You know, look, I'd like to give you some, uh, some good, some good smart stuff to talk about here at the water cooler. And then I'd like to give you some dumb stuff. And sometimes the dumb things are the good stories.
Well, Tampa Bay, of course, experienced several hurricanes. Hurricane, um, uh, Gilbert, Milton, whatever. Whatever. Stupid names. Well, either way, the Tampa Bay rays have a mascot, which is a stingray. And I'm here to let you guys know that the stingrays are all safe. Following hurricane Milton, they are back in the Florida aquarium.
The Tampa Bay race stadium was hit hard by hurricane Milton, but fear not fish lovers, the stingrays that called Tropicana field home or unharmed in the storm. You know, I mean, honestly, the best case scenario would have been that, uh, one of those water spouts sucked them up and brought them back into the ocean because they're, uh, not below.
That's just my thought, but what can I do about it? You know, um, well, speaking of swimming in tanks, uh, do you remember Olympic swimmer Luana Alonzo? Well, she's making a splash on OnlyFans. You may remember her. She was the controversial Paraguayan swimmer, uh, and she's now kick starting her post OnlyFans, the 20 year old beauty who made headlines for her.
for reportedly being booted from the 2024 Olympics for sparking an inappropriate atmosphere, which she later denied, dropped the link to her profile a few days ago, promising exclusive content for a hefty 35 a month. Oh my gosh. Inflation these days. When I was a kid, you could get on OnlyFans for 99 cents a month.
According to the Daily Mail, Alonzo hasn't dipped her toe into any nudity, instead electing to keep it private. Pretty PG 13. She's no stranger to that content as she's known to fill her Instagram page with plenty of bikini shots. Again, this is all TMZ is reporting here. So look, 35 bucks a month and you don't even get a, I mean, you can watch that Titanic and get more skin than that.
All right. Hey, but you know what? Everybody can set the price wherever they want. You know what I mean? So good on her. And by the way, how wild the only thing she was guilty of was because we covered this story. Do you remember we covered the story back in August? In fact, I should have the music for it.
Ladies and gentlemen, 35. I mean the inflation in Paraguay is pretty crazy, but we're happy for go live your dreams. Do whatever the hell you want. Be happy. That's what I gotta say. I hope she makes a fortune. We will keep you posted. We will find out regardless. All right. Well, we spoke about the Hurricane Milton, uh, you know, issues.
We now know that the stingrays are safe, but what about Lieutenant Dan? Uh, the guy who goes by, I forget, I forget what his real name is. Uh, that's what they call him. Joe C, I think they call him either way. Of course, it came out that he has a pretty extensive, uh, criminal record. Nobody's surprised. He talks about his drug addictions after recovering from painkillers, uh, that he was on because he had cancer.
I mean, it's a, it's a real mess. Well, he was being sort of, um, platformed by this one guy named Terrence. Terrence was the guy who asked if he was okay and started a GoFundMe for him and all these other things. But then once he got kind of famous, he ditched Terrence and went to another guy. It's a pretty wild story, but if you like some niche drama, here it is.
TikTok is turning on Lt. Dan because of what he's doing right now. So let me introduce you to this guy, Tampa Terrace. He's the guy who basically made Lt. Dan. Think of him as the Hawktua interview guy, and Dan is Hawktua girl. Now let's talk about this guy, CheckTheStar. Think of him as Mr. Baste, and Dan as World of T Shirts.
Because after Terrence made Dan famous, this guy came in and essentially tried to take advantage of Dan's new fame. Now after hanging out with Check the Star for a while, Dan started to turn on Terrence. And he has started to accuse Terrence of trying to take everything from his GoFundMe. If you don't know, Terrence made Dan a GoFundMe and got over 40k.
And Dan was completely cool with this, trusting Terrence and everything, until he started hanging out with Check the Star. After hanging out with Check the Star, he basically completely turned on Terrence. And Dan also appears to have started some kind of substance or something. Because ever since he met CheckTheStar, Dan has seemed like he's been on something.
Many people watching Dan also notice this change. And speaking of change, the way that Dan has changed has everyone wanting their change back. As many people are now saying they want a refund for the support they gave Dan on his GoFundMe. Now, according to Terrence, the reason he hasn't given Dan all of his funds, it's because Dan has some issues with his bank account and he can't receive them yet.
But Terrence is actively trying to work and help Dan get that fixed. And in the meantime, he is giving Dan 7k while everything gets sorted out. Boy, I tell you what, no good deed goes unpunished. And how sad is this? If this new guy comes in and takes advantage of a, you know, an addict and just supplying him with drugs.
I mean, who knows what to believe? Uh, but I don't think it means that Lieutenant Dan is a bad guy. It just means he is ripe for being, I guess, taken advantage of. And, uh, that's, you know, scammers come out of nowhere and they, uh, yeah, that's what they do. So sad, sad stuff. Well, in other news, if you're an NFL fan who lives in the United States, you might be very pissed when you hear this next story.
To the index. Now the NFL is hoping to expand outside the U. S. Commissioner Roger Goodell is floating the idea of holding the Super Bowl abroad. Goodell mentioned the idea as he outlined his plan to expand the regular season to 18 games and play 16 of those games internationally. Um, how about no? Listen, there's nothing more American than sliced bread.
And which by the way, I think comes from Iowa and who cares, right? And, uh, the Superbowl is an American creation. It is a game unlike any other. Now, sure. They've got the world cup and all these other things, but no, we've got the Superbowl baby and all day event of American debauchery. Gluttony. We eat nonstop until our bodies can't move anymore.
We have funny commercials for products we don't care about, uh, bud wiser. You know what I mean? Like this is our thing. We don't England go do your thing. We left you for a reason on July 4th, 1776, we signed the declaration of independence so we could have a game called football. Where it is thrown in the foot is very rarely used.
You know what I mean? Uh, what do we call it? That for anyway, uh, that we couldn't think of another name like pass ball. What are they doing either way? Um, no, that's going to be a no for me. Uh, but I got more NFL news and I've also got the cat stickler update. Let's do all of that after a quick word from our sponsor.
Well, over the weekend, we saw the relationship between Kat Stickler and Jason Tartick expire. She released an Instagram story saying, Hey, I don't want to talk about it, but just so you guys know, we're broken up. And then Jason Tartick released a statement saying, you know, Um, it was good to, you know, Be with her.
I love her. Blah, blah, blah. Now, of course, she has a daughter and people are criticizing her because I guess she introduced her daughter to Jason. Either way. She felt the need to address this on Tik TOK. She posted in the bio in, in the S in the status update. I know that no matter what I say, people will still have something to say, but I just wanted to say my peace in light of current events.
It has come to my attention that some of you are concerned with the fact that I introduced MK to the man I was dating and that relationship is now no more. So I thought, you know what? Let's have a chat about it. Because I think it's important and I think it needs to be discussed. Did my former boyfriend spend time with my daughter?
Yes. Has my daughter met my male friends? Yes. Has my daughter met the husbands of my girlfriends? Also yes. Three things. She's always with me when these males are introduced in her life, and they are always introduced as mommy's friends. She doesn't call anyone dad. She has a dad. That is never a point of confusion for her, and I promise you guys, she is okay.
And also, let's be real, internet dating timeline is very different from real life dating timeline. I was in a relationship where we were heading down a serious route until we weren't, and that's okay. I just hope that MK knows I am looking to find the right partner for the both of us, because we are a package deal.
And I know I don't always make the right decisions, but I learn from my mistakes. And every decision that I do make, it's because it's what I think is best for my daughter and I. Also, I'm 29 years old. I know. First thing you guys are gonna say, Cat, how in the heck are you 29? You youthful angel. That's not what this is about.
Also, no one's ever said that, but I know. Some people think that a big part for someone who dates me is that they have to come into my world and I know that's not easy and I can't leave Florida. I can't. If someone comes to visit me, I can't just shove MK in the cupboard. It doesn't matter what you guys say.
It's just not right. Imagine if we all listened to the judgments that other people had about our lives and based our life decisions on those judgments. I never want to live in fear of not doing what's right for me because of what other people are going to think and I do understand the majority of you guys are looking out for us and I love that.
Just be patient with me because this is a lot. I know my child, I know that every single decision I make is with her best interest at the forefront of my mind, and I can live with that, so, that's all. There it is, that is all. I mean, look, this is, by the way, I'm surprised, I'm shocked she's only 29, not because she looks older, just because she has like a kid, and for me, I'm just such a weirdo, I'm like, 20s have kids still?
Who can afford such a thing? Uh, well, Kat Stickler can. No, I Googled her net worth again. The number's never right, but it says 10 million. And I wouldn't be surprised because she's been an influencer for a good while now. So she's providing for her family. Now, does that mean people are going to know her daughter's name's MK?
Yeah. I mean, look, people are going to know what my son's name is. You know, it's just one of those, it's just one of those inevitable things that's going to exist when part of the currency of what you do is by putting yourself out there. Now, with that said, I'm not saying. Anyone should treat her in a negative way, but I do understand that's just going to happen.
People are going to be judgy as hell because that's going to be their way of thinking they have control over something they don't. Oh, well, I would never do that to my kids. Okay. You know, Barbara shore, whatever, you know what I mean? Well, cat sticklers, I, she's a, she's a force, you know, she's a, Uh, big personality and she's not pimping her kid out.
It's just part of her life. Uh, but I, I like that she's sticking up for herself. I would probably not know who she was if it wasn't for her having dated Jason Tartick. I'm sure she got a tiny bump in audience from the bachelor world. I'm sure he got more because she's got a much bigger following. Uh, and interesting that she's not mentioning his name.
So I wonder if there's a sort of a, I wonder how this relationship ended. We'll see. If more is said, you know, whenever a relationship ends, if there's any bitterness by one party towards another, even though a lot of times you'll get those truces where you're like, all right, we promise to take care of each other after a while, when the dust settles, if that's the case, the truth will get out there.
And anyway, we'll be here to cover it, but I do wish her well. And like I said, yeah, so. So she has to live with her life under a little bit of scrutiny because people know her because she's got a big following. But with that comes a unbelievably large paycheck. She would never get, um, if she was just say, I don't know, working HR somewhere.
No offense to people working HR, but go start a YouTube channel. Have a tick tock. Come on. All right. Well, I. Personally, do not watch the Tucker Carlson network. Uh, the disgraced host who was fired from Fox news. But I did find it interesting that he was talking to Elon Musk. Now, Elon Musk has publicly endorsed Donald Trump.
Uh, is it important for this conversation? Well, kind of, because, you know, there's a lot of conspiracy theorists that exist both on the left and on the right. And one of those conspiracies is that a lot of people think, Oh, the news media is lying to you and no one's ever traveled to the moon. Well, here.
Tucker Carlson asks, flat out to Elon Musk, Have we landed on the moon? Here's what he had to say. We got to the moon the first time. We definitely went to the moon. Yes, we went to the moon. We went to the moon several times. I just want to check your view on that. 100 percent went to the moon. I know in depth the technical designs of the rockets, the spacecraft, everything.
What went right, what went wrong. It was a remarkable piece of technology. Like, incredible piece of technology for to go to 69. Uh, that was, uh, like reaching into the future and pulling the future forward, uh, dramatically. And it was an important ideological battle with communism. They couldn't put a person on the moon and capitalism could.
Well, so he says capitalism could put a person under the moon. But technically it was a social program that put a person on the moon, right? Now it wasn't communism, but it was, you know, it was the fact that our taxpayer money funds NASA and okay, whatever, who cares? I'm just saying it wasn't fully capitalism.
Who knows? All right, let's go to Netflix. Netflix is getting into the variety talk show game, which is interesting because now you've seen, you know, all of the variety talk shows on network TV die because no one wants to watch them. But it looks like. It looks like Netflix is going to take a risk. I'm really excited about, so for next year, for 2025, we have, we're doing a.
Variety live talk show with John Mulaney, which I'm super excited about. Um, so yeah, you can call, I feel like that was a clap. I mean, John Mulaney, hello. Um, so we have a long relationship with John obviously, and we, you know, have done his standup specials and during Netflix as a joke festival, um, this year he, you know, did a live talk show called everybody's in LA and it was, you know, when I was There are a couple of the tapings and it's, it was just, it was so bold and original and fresh and unpredictable.
And I think it will be really fun to get to do a live show with him. There it is. I think one of the problems with the Network TV format is it was every night, five nights a week. You're putting on an hour and a half long show variety show. Now that worked when all of Hollywood was like working with three networks, but there's so many other options now.
So it's like, who's got the time. You know what I mean? Who's got the time. Well, before we go to our next break, I thought this was so interesting. Big brother. Do you guys watch big brother? I don't, I don't really know how it works, but I guess they record it live in the people on the show are sort of sequestered, whereas they don't really know what's going on in the outside world, so the only people really out there that don't know who's running for president of the United States are the folks that I'm about to air.
They get filled in during the live finale that Kamala Harris is running against Donald Trump. Okay. Here's how it all went down on jurors have been out in the real world since they've been evicted, but the rest of you have missed some big news. The seven jurors and Chelsea and Mackenzie, the nine of you are the only Americans in the entire world who have no idea.
Who's running for president of the United States. Let me know. You think by the way, wouldn't it be nice to live in a world where you didn't have to know you could just be on a TV show and just not know, you know? Okay. So 12 weeks ago, president Joe Biden. Dropped out of the race for president. So vice president Kamala Harris is running against former president Donald Trump.
Is this not the funniest thing? They're like, what? But wait, there's more. What's more is, I hope that everyone here is registered to vote. And that goes for you too, America. The 2024 election is just 23 days away. So that's right. Oh, is it really coming? Oh my gosh. It really is only like three days. Three weeks away.
I thought it was a month away. It's three weeks away. Boy, can't you just wait for this stuff to be over and we can move on with our life. And hopefully, uh, you know, nuclear fallout doesn't happen and civil wars go down. Hey, who knows? Either way, as long as I can get my news to you guys, I'll be reporting from the bunker.
We'll be back with more content right after this. Well, it's a travel day for me. I'm flying back to Tennessee today. Uh, so I'll be back to my actual studio set up tomorrow. Uh, but I'll have a lot of content in the meantime. I mean, there is so much happening right now with all the different shows. And of course, as I said before, leading up to the election, uh, what's really wild though, is something I wanted to cover that being a suspect was arrested, uh, I guess in North Carolina for interfering with FEMA workers.
Have a listen. To the alarming threats against FEMA workers after weeks of dangerous misinformation about FEMA's response to these hurricanes. Tonight, the news coming in, there has been an arrest amid the threats targeting the workers, a suspect now arrested with multiple guns. Here's ABC's Victor Akendo.
After weeks of misinformation about FEMA's response to recent hurricanes, tonight, a man arrested for allegedly threatening FEMA workers in North Dakota. Carolina. So, I mean, this is just ridiculous, right? They're like this, this happened after the election where election workers, which by the way, they're just volunteers, right?
They were getting harassed because people thought they were shredding ballots. I mean, it's just crazy out there. It's absolutely crazy. So as I've said all along, we're going to, we're going to keep on using our platform to make sure people understand how to, you know, um, how to, how to, uh, you know, know what real news is and have critical thinking skills.
Well, here's an interesting story for you. Uh, we've got NFL billionaire Robert Kraft, uh, uh, announcing his endorsement on the Breakfast Club, a morning talk show with Charlamagne Lagarde. I haven't talked to him since then. You have donated money to Democratic politicians. You donated the most money to President Obama's campaign out of all the NFL owners.
But you talked about what happened in Charlottesville, you're also good friends with Donald Trump and in 2017 you said Trump will be great for the economy. So how do you feel about him in 2024 because he's fueled a lot of the, the, the dangerous things that have happened that you're talking about? Yeah, well, let me just say I've been, I, I'm a Democrat.
I've been, I was head of the Democratic City Committee in Brookline and Newton and I ran, um, uh, Teddy Kennedy's reelection campaign with a young man called Tommy O'Neill in Boston, uh, who was Tip O'Neill's son. Get to the good part. And I've always been democratic. Uh, Donald Trump became a social friend, um, careful in the early nineties.
He's like, he was a friend, but we didn't go on any flights together. And I was going down to Florida. The only donation I ever gave to him was he called me when he got elected and I made a strong donation to his inauguration. I couldn't believe it. It was like having someone who's a drunk fraternity brother.
I mean, I didn't believe that, you know, he would, you know, and yeah, I think he did things. I mean, I'll say this since I was very upset what happened January 6th. He led an insurrection in his country? Pardon? I think he led an insurrection in his country. And I haven't talked to him since then. Well, I mean, I think that's pretty wild, you know, uh, that he kind of thought he would be good for the economy before, and now he's changed his mind about who he wants.
Uh, but look, everyone's allowed to make their own decisions out there. I know a lot of people say, Oh, why is it that all the billionaires want the Democrat to win? Well, I mean, he's a new England guy. Most, uh, you know, the new Englanders, uh, were already voting in that direction in the first place. All right.
Our final clip, which is actually very interesting is that there's going to be a Fox news interview of, and with Kamala Harris. I've said this all along. You need to go to where the voters are. You need to show up for people across the aisle. And that means go to Fox news, go to the places that will. Talk to you so that you can reach their voters and, you know, try to win over their votes.
Uh, just like I think Trump should go to, I don't know, CNN and MSNBC, if they'll have them. I mean, go where you can to get your message across. The vice president is going to sit down on Fox News. This was just announced by Fox News. It's going to happen on Wednesday. She's going to sit down with Brett Baier, according to Fox.
It's her first formal sit down interview on that network. And look, I think this is good. I think Brad bear is pretty fair. I've seen, I've seen him host town halls with Bernie Sanders. I thought he was a fair guy, so we'll see how it goes. But I don't like that Kamala will do like an hour long interview with 60 minutes and then it'll be edited to 20 minutes long.
Just play the full interviews. You know what I mean? Like that's what people want. Like give the people all the info they can possibly have to make the choices they want. That's what you would do if you're a strong candidate. And if you believe in her, you believe in her message and you'd run it all. So this is good because I don't think Fox news has any reason to, I don't know, try to protect her.
So it's like, all right, let her, let her grow out there. This is your moment to shine. Right. She did not do it when she was running for president in 2019, a brief on the democratic side or as a sitting vice president is significant. It's going to be in It shows one thing, that she is willing to take more risks.
Because they believe that, uh, this is a, uh, a deadlocked race on the margin and she needs to do something to try and shake this up. It's also a sign of confidence in her and that she has performed, uh, pretty well, most people will agree, on 60 Minutes, on all of this batting practice that's been going on, uh, through podcasts and other things.
But look, now is the time. People are going to be voting very soon. And some are, actually, millions are. And this is a sign that she is, uh, again, we see so many lessons from 2016. I think this is yet one more example that they're putting everything out there at the end of this. There's not going to be, Oh, she didn't go to Michigan.
She didn't go to Wisconsin. She didn't do this or that they're doing everything. I think it's significant. There it is. Significant. And we're giving you all that news from entertainment to politics. We've got it all for you. All right. Like I said, it's a travel day for me. I'll be flying to Boston and I'll have more content for you when I land.
